Sometimes pictures say more than a thousand words..
Photography is not always easy in the very conservative country which I call home, Saudi-Arabia.
Taking pictures is viewed by some Saudis as inappropriate or even haram (forbidden). On the other hand some are curious and give a warm welcome to the foreign female photographer. Saudis, especially women and children have even come up on occasion and insisted to be photographed!
I try to capture things I see around me everyday. There are times I don't have much time to concentrate on photo quality, due to circumstances it's sometimes just point and shoot (and run) LOL.
The ordinary but sometimes so bizarre everyday life, the diverse scenery, the interesting people, the unique architecture and interesting history, the colorful culture, the quirky stuff only to be found in Saudi, are all part of the complex puzzle of the Magic Kingdom.
This is my way of narrating what the real Kingdom of Saudi-Arabia looks like, from the perspective of a curious foreigner and through the lens of my camera.
I hope you enjoy what you see and I would love to hear your feedback and comments too.
